About Me

BioMed Sapience was founded by Dr. Rishika Agarwal, a biomedical scientist and strategist passionate about bridging science, innovation, and communication. With a career spanning research labs, biotech startups, and accelerator leadership, she has experienced the full spectrum of how ideas move from discovery to impact.

Her scientific journey began in India, expanded through an MS at Northwestern University, USA, and culminated in a PhD at the University of Basel, Switzerland, where she developed advanced 3D skin models to study disease and drug response. Along the way, she contributed to psoriasis therapies that reached Phase 2 clinical trials and built collaborations that merged deep science with real-world translation.

At BioMed Sapience, she brings this global, interdisciplinary perspective to help startups, investors, and scientists turn complex biomedical ideas into clear, actionable strategies. Her approach combines scientific depth, strategic insight, and a deep respect for clarity in communication, whether it’s refining a research narrative, evaluating biotech opportunities, or helping students design experiments and write their theses.
